Paris 2024 New Sports

• In February 2019, the Paris Organising Committee proposed the inclusion of breakdancing (breaking), along with skateboarding, sport climbing, and surfing as optional sports.

Changes from Previous Olympics

• The disciplines of karate and baseball/softball have been removed from the program since 2020, resulting in a loss of 10 events in total.

• Introduced as a new discipline, breaking has added two events to the program.
